Both me and my girls still have a few days left of the christmas holliday. I would like to do (fun) things with them now that we have the time for it, but both me and my girls have a bit of a cold so there is´nt much we manage. So this holliday we have been watching a lot of movies. One of the good things about that is that I have been able to spinn some yarn at the same time as being with my family and wathing movies. Spinning is great to do in front of the TV, but my husband thinks that it makes so much noise that he actually asked me if I wanted a new spinning wheel ( for my 35th birthday or something) . I love my spinningwheel, it´s a well used Louet about 30 years old and a bit crocked, but I would´nt say no to a new one. I´ve had it for about 8 years but it´s been more and more mending (or at least it feels that way sometimes). Only proublem is that I dont now what to get.
During this holliday I have been spinning a multicoloured yarn with gradual colourchanges in green, yellow and red merinowool. This time I have been letting it set for over a week before I navajoplied it together, it went very much smoother and I will try remembering this the next time I am in a hurry to finish up. That is the biggest problem for my with navajoplying, otherwise I´m loving this tecnique.
Have been spinning some of my blend as well. At world of wool you can make your own blend, and you get to mix wool sorts and colours of your chosing. I love my mix, it´s different hues of red and a little brown merinowool with a little silk. This is going to be a sjawl or scarf so I´m making a skein or two more of this thickness.

Have also been making more patches to my new quilt. Have used a little more than 1/3 of the citrus coloured fabric. Have mainly sewed the light patches so there are more dark ones left.
Despite a cold and some fever I think a have manage to get some things done in the last couple of days.
I´m linking up to finishing friday at crazy mum quilts.
I just love the look of your leaf quilt...can't wait to see more! (and I'm totally impressed by your spinning!)
