Beskrivning tygblommor/ Fabric flower tutorial

Har sytt blommor till en vårbukett och gjort en beskrivning.


Have made some flowers for a springbouque and made a tutorial.





Rita ut och klipp ut fem cirklar till blombladen.
Mallarna som används till blombladen avgör hur stor blomman blir, och det går att ha annat antal blomblad om man vill. Som mall till cirklarna kan man använda ett glas eller annat tillgängligt föremål. (Mina cirklar är ca 6cm i diameter.) Tyget bör inte vara för tjock, vanligt bommullstyg till lappteknik fungerar bra.

Mark and cut out 5 circles in patchwork cotton. You can use a glass or other round object for the circles.


Vik cirkeln på mitten och vik på mitten en gång till.

Fold the circle in half and fold that in half again.




Trä en nål med dubbel tråd och gör en eller flera knutar i änden. Sy med tråckelstygn i den öppna kanten genom alla 4 lager.

Tread a needle with double tread and make a knot at the end. Sew with basting stithes along the open side through all 4 layers.


Dra åt.

Pull tight.














Använd samma tråd och gör likadant med de andra cirklarna.

With the same tread do the same with the other circles.







För att dra ihop blombladen till en blomma trä in nålen genom det första blombladet på samma ställe som den första tråden och dra åt.

To pull together the petals to a flower sew the needle through the first petal one more time and pull tight.









För att göra mitten på blomman kläs en knapp med tyg. (Jag har valt att trä en piprensare genom knappen som stjälk och detta är enklast att göra innan knappen kläs) Jag använder fortfarande samma tråd till detta.

For the middle of the flower I use a button covered with fabric. I use the same thread for this as I did for the petals. As I wamt stems on my flowers I thread a chenille wire(?) through the button and its easier to do this before covering the button with fabric.




Dra åt så att knappen ligger tätt inpå blombladen och sy fast runt knappen.

Pull tight to make the petals and the button close and thight. Sew togheter the petals and the button working around the button.






















Sy även ihop blombladen på undersidan eller sy på en bit filt för att dölja traskanterna.

Sew togheter the petals under the flowers or cover the frayed edges with a piece of felt.


Klä ev piprensaren med tyg.

If preferable cover the chenille wite with fabric.





Den här blomman kan varieras på olika sätt. Formen på tygbiten och hur man viker ihop den ger olika utseende på blomman, det är bara att experimentera.

This flower can be varied in different ways depending in the shape of the fabric and the way it´s folded, feel free to experiment!
